OXIGEN THERAPY
Definition
It is a therapeutic technique that provides air to the patient with a certain oxygen concentration to increase the oxygen content in the blood.
GAMED Mask
The Gamed masks are made of nontoxic PVC, having a metal clip which allows the anatomically fit. They have elastic adjustable holder that currently are available in clear. Depending on the patient's status, doctor may suggest that the oxygen outlet (flow) is regulated at a rate of 3 to 15 liters per minute (LPM).

Masks Clasification According Their Oxygen Administration:
- - HIGH FLOW Oxygen Systems, whose function is to provide all the atmosphere of breathing gas? They can give FIO2 (high or low).
Types: Venturi Masks, Nebulization Masks
- - LOW FLOW Oxygen systems do not provide all the breathing gas; they can give FIO2 (high or low).
Types: Simple Oxygen Masks, Partial Re-breathing masks, non-rebreathing masks
HIGH FLOW MASKS - VENTURI MASKS
Description
It is a device that causes a pressure loss at fluid pass. It is essentially a straight short line between two conical frames. A device measures the fluid expenditure, i.e., the amount of flow per time unit, from a pressure difference between the places where the oxygen supply enters to the point of minimum section of the tube, where its final wide part acts as a diffuser.

The easy, variable, adjustable Venturi system ensures fix and accurate concentrations of oxygen.
The average concentration diffuser allows the adjustment of approximately 35%, 40% and 50% (White Color)
The low concentration diffuser allows the adjustment of approximately 24%, 26%, 28% and 30% (Green Color).

NEBULIZER MASKS
The nebulizer mask has the following functions:
- - Bronchodilators: When placed in the glass nebulizer a medication (bronchodilator) and it is vaporized with oxygen acting more quickly and effectively because the administration via is more direct. (Airway), and no slower action is expected by mouth or intravenously.
- - Fluidizing: When serum is placed in the nebulizer glass and it is vaporized along with oxygen, promotes the mucus release.
The Kit. Contains:

- - 01 Tube connected, by one end to the mask and the other end to oxygen outlet.
LOW FLOW MASKS - SIMPLE OXYGEN MASKS
They are low-flow masks. The same mask acts as a reservoir and mixes oxygen with the carbon dioxide exhaled by the patient with ambient air through the side holes.

LOW FLOW MASKS - MASKS OF PARTIAL RE-BREATHING
The oxygen dosage has a valve between the mask and the reservoir, which rises on inhaling and goes down on exhaling.
The mask has two side holes and one of the holes is sealed by a valve, preventing the oxygen and CO2 partial exit.
It is attached at the base of a reservoir and one side is connected to a non-toxic PVC hose.
Function
